Adele Davalos Mitchell

Founder & Director

Adele has been an educator for over thirty years. Adele was the founding teacher of SOL Club (Socially Organize Latinos). SOL was a club that originated on campus as a way of resolving gang violence that had emerged in 1994. SOL club combined honoring cultural heritage, community collaboration and visual art projects to create positive social change. Her awards include the California State Senate Award for Outstanding Commitment to Southwest Santa Rosa Youth, recognition at a Congressional Forum on Education hosted by United States Representative, Lynn Woolsey and the Excellence in Education Award presented by the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce.

Carmen Maria Mitchell


Carmen is the founder of the non-profit Redwood Theatre Company bringing Art to the community with professional productions, youth performance camps and outreach programs. RTC features full inclusion opportunities for artists with developmental disabilities and outreach art workshops for underserved youth. Carmen is also the director of the FTA Social Justice Art Series: creating social awareness and community connections through art.


Madeline Brown

Outreach Coordinator

Madeline Brown is a trained ballet dancer and professional performing artist in Sonoma County. She has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from San Francisco State University. She is currently working for the City of Santa Rosa in the Office of Community Engagement.


Anakarina Swanson

Dance Director

Anakarina is a professional dancer and dance teacher from Sonoma County. Anakarina is the founder and owner of Breakthrough Dance. She has been a company member with several renowned Hip Hop Dance crews in the Bay Area. She was a director of multiple dance companies at the Dance Center Studio in Santa Rosa. She is now the lead dance instructor for SOL's Youth Camp series.


Lorenzo Alviso

Development Director

No stranger to the world of Non-profits, Lorenzo has helped incorporate and run programs for educational and charitable non-profits including the H.O.P.E. for Healing Institute in Marin county where he raised money for children’s oxygen treatment as well as planned and assisted with teaching CEU certifiable courses to RN’s in California. After gaining sales and marketing experience from local and professional theatre companies in the a north Bay, Lorenzo is excited to bring his knowledge, charisma and oh-so-Sonoma County personality to the team.
